How to install NearbySpy

NearbySpy is an addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. It passively records players you meet and contributes anonymous stats to RealmPulse. Installation takes a minute.

Requirements

World of Warcraft: Forever — the same client you play on.

Steps

Download the NearbySpy archive (button above) and unpack it.
Copy the NearbySpy folder into <Client>/Interface/AddOns/. The game usually lives at `/Applications/World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_` (macOS) or `C:/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_` (Windows); if the game is on another drive, your path will differ.
Log into the game: Esc → AddOns → enable NearbySpy → Enter World.
Verify: /nspy opens the list window; /nspy count shows the counters.

What next

The default mode is passive: the addon records players you see (open world, group, guild, chat). For an extended /who sweep of the zone: /nspy suggest — the addon fills in the query, you just click the search button. All commands: /nspy.

Privacy

Only the name/class/level/zone/realm of encountered players is collected; no passwords, coordinates or personal data are sent. Names from chat channels also end up in the database — if that is unwanted, don't use the addon.
