What waits in Forever

  • A level 1–60 journey across the original continents, set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core.
  • New and reimagined zones: Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades and Zephras Isle — together with more than 1,000 new quests.
  • A new playable race, the Skyborne (shen'dorei), with a level 1–12 starting experience on Zephras Isle. Windshapers join the Horde as Shamans, High-Order Skyborne join the Alliance as Mages.
  • New race and class combinations: Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans.
  • Nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13–60. Three raids — Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair — open on December 9.
  • The Camping system, the account-wide Legacy system, and a 15 versus 15 battleground on the Darkspear Islands.

First login: preset and ruleset

On your first login you choose an Experience Preset — Classic (standard models, fewer modern interface features) or Enhanced (high definition models, quest points of interest, one-bag, transmog). If you are not sure, start with Enhanced. Presets only set a starting configuration; everything can be changed later under Game Menu → Options.

Then you pick a Ruleset instead of a traditional realm: Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Roleplay PvP. A ruleset works as a broad player ecosystem rather than a single realm. The Hardcore ruleset will become available sometime after launch.

Character names now use a two-name structure and are unique within a region.
