Beta maintenance on October 8: servers temporarily down
Servers for the WoW: Forever beta went down for a new build.
Source: Blizzard Forums ↗
What happened
The beta servers were taken offline for maintenance. The team expects about 6 hours of downtime, with service resuming around .
How to recognize it
If your client returns BLZ51900033 (ERROR_SERVER_IS_PRIVATE), do not panic: that is the login server answering during maintenance, not a client or network problem on your side.
What players should do
- Update your local client once the new build ships — the old one may fail authentication.
- After updating, check your addons: temporarily disable outdated ones.
- Site statistics resume updating after your next SavedVariables upload (logout or
/reload).
Your data is safe
NearbySpy stores its data locally and uploads it after you leave the game — the pause in collection does not affect the 5,700+ player profiles already collected.
